Melanie Lynskey, known for her role as Rose on the sitcom “Two and a Half Men,” faced difficulties behind the scenes due to her low pay.
She revealed in an interview that she spent nearly a year negotiating her resignation from the show. Despite being a veteran actress in films and television, Lynskey felt that the show was an unusual fit for her.
She auditioned for the role out of financial need and considered it a short-term endeavor.
The show paid her the absolute minimum, and she expressed dissatisfaction with her salary, stating that it was “literally the least they could possibly pay me.”
