Elizabeth Montgomery

Elizabeth Montgomery, born on April 15, 1933, was an American actress best known for her iconic role as Samantha Stephens in the television series Bewitched.

She was the daughter of actor Robert Montgomery and began her career in the 1950s with appearances on her father’s show Robert Montgomery Presents.

Montgomery also had success on Broadway, winning a Theater World Award for her performance in Late Love in 1956. In the 1960s, Montgomery rose to fame as the lovable witch Samantha Stephens on Bewitched, earning multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her portrayal.

After the show ended in 1972, she continued to showcase her acting talents in television films, receiving critical acclaim for her performances in A Case of Rape (1974) and The Legend of Lizzie Borden (1975). Montgomery’s versatile acting skills and enduring legacy have solidified her as a beloved figure in television history.
